We due special thanks to our grandmother – Franziska Stöckl – she probably had to go through the toughest times with the Kirchenwirt.  The first big rush of guests into the region suggested turning the Kirchenwirt into a high-modern Hotel. Franziska however decided to keep up the tradition of the house. Although many people ridiculed her judgment, it was the best choice for the Hotel.

Had her love to tradition not been so strong, we would not look back at the history of the Kirchenwirt with such pride.
